To change your cat’s food, we recommend a gradual transition to help avoid stomach upsets. Generally, this takes around 7 days, but it is always a good idea to monitor your cat to check that the transition is going well. To start the transition, introduce the new food as a low proportion of their old - we recommend a 25% new food to 75% old food ratio - and gradually increase the new-to-old ratio over ~7 days until your cat has completely transitioned to the new food. Monitor behaviour and food consumption during the transition. Suggested schedule: Days 1-3: 25% new food / 75% old food Days 4-5: 50% new food / 50% old food Days 6-7: 75% new food / 25% old food Day 8+: 100% new food if tolerated well Keep your regular feeding routine, meal times, and eating areas consistent during the transition.
